Looking for Leola Bear? You’ll likely find her tucked away in her South London studio, happily surrounded by paintings, sculptures, and avant-garde fashion designs. When she isn't creating in her workspace, she is off traveling the world in search of fresh inspiration—and the absolute perfect shade of plum.
Leola is a wonderfully talented, delightfully distracted artist with a notorious habit of reheating the same mug of tea three times because she gets completely lost in her creative process. When inspiration strikes her, the hours simply melt away. Fortunately, her cousin Bartholomew Bear is always on-hand with a fresh tea top-up and a slightly squashed plate of biscuits. He knows the drill!
Bartholomew also happens to be her favorite muse. Leola has lovingly designed and handcrafted every single one of his iconic costumes. From the ruby fluff of his dramatic Heartthrob stage outfit to the custom Bat Bear cape he wore for a legendary Halloween party, she does it all. Even his bold Sun costume was a Leola original, meticulously tailored to give him a boost of confidence for a big carnival debut. While she waits for her genius to be recognized by the grand art galleries, Leola is perfectly content making magical things for her friends and family.
